“ Where do I begin??? I drove from Anderson specifically to try their food, and boy, was I not disappointed!! I had a blackberry margarita, smoked pork nachos, and apple and sausage flatbread. Everyone single bite was amazing!! They have a great menu with a variety of options besides BBQ. The atmosphere is very laid back and casual, family friendly. I highly recommend ”

“ This charming local favorite is a treat for locals and visitors alike . I met some local residents at a park that shared this, as their favorite BBQ joint. They suggested that I enjoy the shrimp and grits because it's a renowned and famous dish here. So glad that I did DEFINITELY DELICIOUS with hush puppies I enjoyed an appetizer of French Dip egg rolls and something I never have heard of before - AMAZING and endless southern sweet tea. Yummy, and definitely a lot of food. Doggie bags are pretty common, their portions are beyond generous. Sara took great care with service and suggestions and the entire staff serves southern charm and kindness. A definite stop if you are in or near Landrum SC. Enjoy the delicious BBQ meats too, other diners were telling me how delicious it was, I could only eat so much. “ Awesome. Great atmosphere. Clean. Waitress friendly and attentive. Very different items than most BBQ places, which is pleasant. Original items, I can't wait to try them all. Mule in a Hurricane (8) was superb. Very hot humid day and this was a nice refreshing mixed drink to close out the day. Steamed mussels (price ?) were excellent. Seasoned perfectly. I ordered fried oyster basket with house cut fries (price based on market price of day 18 this time I believe) Husband got 1 meat sampler platter (pulled pork) slaw and house cut fries (I think 14) 24 yr old son got Cajun Burger cooked medium and house cut fries. (Price ?) 3 Mules In a Hurricane and 1 stout and 3 meals- total bill 84 before our tip We were very pleased with entire dining experience. Food was excellent. Fresh and hot. Service was really good. “ If only the food hadn't been so tempting that I forgot to take pictures before we began eating... What you see here started out as two shrimp tacos and twice as much of that succulent sliced barbecue, plus a summer fruit salad and a basket of fried mushrooms. The shrimp tacos and the summer fruit salad were from the day's seasonal specials and were amazing. It is difficult to think of anything that says summer more than the local blueberries, blackberries, and peaches that topped the salad of spring greens along with candied pecans, Parmesan, and a to-die-for balsamic vinaigrette. One of the best salads I've ever had; I sure hope you get there while they still have it! The barbecue here never disappoints with its deep, smoky flavor, but Southside isn't just a barbecue joint; there is clearly a bayou vibe here and it comes through in the slate of Cajun and low country classics like red beans and rice, shrimp and grits, and shrimp Creole to name a few. Southside's menu offers a great variety without losing focus on what the place is all about. I've never been disappointed here. Do be aware that this is a smallish restaurant so don't be surprised if there is a wait, but it will be worth it. Parking is a bit tight, but there is an overflow area across a small street in the back. Ca c'est bon! ”
